The airline Avianca resumed its regular flights between The Savior and Ecuador, operating to the airports of Guayaquil and Quito.
After the forced suspension of these frequencies due to the pandemic more than known to all, Avianca with its subsidiary in El Salvador resumed its regular operations to Guayaquil and Quito from San Salvador.
In a first instance, these flights were estimated to be resumed a few months ago, but the market situation was not favorable for the aspirations of Avianca to maintain a stable demand that allows a profitability in the route, but now things are changing.
Little by little the different markets of the region begin to show slight recovery traces and that is why now some interesting routes such as the connection in the San Salvador Hub are viable, allowing among other destinations, reactivate flights to Ecuador by Avianca.
Flights from El Salvador
This connection offers a wide range of destinations to Central America, as especially towards the United States, Canada and Mexico, these being the key destinations for the important traffic that moves to San Salvador from South America.
Now taking advantage of the market recovery and also the growing demand for vaccine tourism, Avianca found the opportunity to once again offer these options for the Ecuadorian market, operating at the following times and frequencies:
San Salvador – Guayaquil
Frequencies operating on Saturdays and Wednesdays (return sunday and thursday), from the 7 September increase to three weekly frequencies:
- Flight AV593 takes off from San Salvador at 21:55 hours and lands in Guayaquil at 01:50 hours after 2 hours and 55 flight minutes.
- Flight AV592 takes off from Guayaquil at 05:00 hours and lands in San Salvador at 06:45 hours after 2 hours and 45 flight minutes.
San Salvador – Quito
Frequencies operating on Sundays and Thursdays (return monday and friday), from the 30 August increase to four weekly frequencies:
- Flight AV457 takes off from San Salvador at 21:55 hours and lands in Quito at 01:50 hours after 2 hours and 55 flight minutes.
- Flight AV592 takes off from Guayaquil at 05:00 hours and lands in San Salvador at 06:45 hours after 2 hours and 45 flight minutes.
