The airline Turkish Cargo will soon operate under the modality of regular flights to Quito, Ecuador with planes Boeing 777.

After starting flights, but chartered towards I remove the 19 February 2018, the airline is now taking an important step towards consolidating its operation in Ecuador.

The announcement about the intention to return regular flights in the country was known on 2021 , but at the end of last January, Turkish Cargo initiated the respective legal procedure before the local authority.

Turkish Cargo with scheduled flights

The airline requested the granting of an operating permit for the provision of public air transport service, regular international cargo on the following route:

  • Istanbul – Quito – Istanbul, with four (4) weekly frequencies,
  • The flights will operate through the following cities as intermediate points: New York and/or Chicago and/or Houston and/or Toronto and/or Miami and/or Sao Paulo, with traffic rights or fifth freedoms of the air; and, points beyond: Miami and/or Maastricht and/or Amsterdam, with traffic rights or fifth freedoms of the air.

Turkish Airlines INC. will use in its service the flight equipment consisting of the Boeing 777-FF2 type aircraft, which will operate under a dry lease modality from its operations and maintenance base at Istanbul International Airport, Turkey.

  1. A breakthrough in international cargo for UIO, Let's hope that in the future Turkish Airlines is interested in transporting passengers to Ecuador, it would be an even greater advance. Good post
