Satena plans to fly to Ecuador
The Brigadier General President of Satena Óscar Zuluaga, announced within the framework of ANATO 2023 that with the authorization of the Government of President Gustavo Petro to connect to Colombia with Venezuela and Ecuador, the airline plans to expand its international presence.
Satena, plans to fly to other international destinations, especially to border areas, This is the case of the proposal to leave for Ecuador where planes from the airline could be seen landing in tulcan, Esmeraldas and Sour Lake, all on the southern Colombian border.
"At this time and with the growth of the fleet, we hope to generate a better market with border countries, how Venezuela and Ecuador to guarantee the positioning in the market”.
The airline will start flights from Bogota to Caracas from the 3 next March and will initially do so twice a week (Tuesday and Friday)
What's more, the president of Satena commented that the airline will start flights between Barranquilla and Caracas:
“We are planning and organizing so that from the first days of April of this year we can fly from Barranquilla to Caracas (Venezuela) biweekly".
Satena currently has a fleet made up of 11 aircraft of which 3 are own, the rest are in leasing: 7 ATR 42-500, 2 ATR 72-600, plus 2 Embraer 145.
