Marking his return to South America and taking advantage of the growing demand for trips to Europe of Colombians thanks to the freedom to travel without a visa, the airline of Switzerland announces two new destinations in its route network.
Edelweiss will fly to Bogotá and Cartagena
The flights from Zurich a Bogota and Cartagena will be from November 2023. Two weekly flights, every wednesday and sunday. The number of long-distance destinations is increasing 23 on the airline network.
Swiss holiday-focused airline Edelweiss is expanding its longhaul network and will fly to two new holiday destinations in Colombia from november 2023. The two new destinations Bogota and Cartagena are ideal for exploring this country of contrasts on an impressive round trip. Plus an incredible number of cultural highlights, you will experience the sandy beaches of the Caribe, the lush landscapes of the jungle, the peaks of the high mountains and the vibrant metropolises.
Bogota
From Bogota, plus a round trip, numerous day trips to the nearby mountainous landscape can be planned. It is highly recommended to spend a few days of your Colombia vacation in Bogotá and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city.. has a lot to offer, from a wide range of cultural activities to picturesque parks and lively markets.
Cartagena
The north of the country also offers treasures such as high coastal mountains, dreamy Caribbean beaches and beautiful national parks. As the final touch to a round trip to Colombia, it is worth relaxing a few days in Cartagena before returning home from here.
Edelweiss will fly non-stop from Zurich to Bogota, then to Cartagena and back non-stop to Zurich on Wednesdays and Sundays from 22 November 2023.
These flights will be operated by aircraft Airbus A340-300, with a capacity to 314 passengers in three classes (27 Business, 76 Economy Max y 211 en Economy).
Schedules
Regarding the flight schedules scheduled for Wednesdays and Sundays, these will operate at the following times:
- WK flight 92 takes off from Zurich at 09:25 and lands in Bogotá at 15:30
- WK flight 92 takes off from Bogota at 19:40 and lands in Cartagena at 18:30
- WK flight 92 takes off from Cartagena at 22:20 and lands back in Zurich at 14:50 the next day.
