For the seventh time the Mariscal Sucre International Airport (AIMS) Quito South America's Leading Airport took the award in the edition 2023 of the World Travel Awards.

The recognition was presented during the ceremony held this 26 August in the Caribbean country of Saint Lucia. on this occasion, The Quito airport competed with the airports of Bogota, Brasilia, Montevideo, Buenos Aires (Ezeiza), Lima, Rio de Janeiro and Santiago de Chile.

With seven trophies, the Quito airport is positioned as the second most awarded in the history of the World Travel Awards in South America, after the Rio de Janeiro terminal (8 times winner). For Ramón Miró, President and CEO of Corporación Quiport, capital airport concessionaire, Winning the award confirms the quality of the airport services provided by the 'Marshal Sucre' and shows the importance it has in the recovery of connectivity and tourism in Quito and in Ecuador.

Los World Travel Awards, considered the Oscars of tourism, are the highest seal of quality for service providers in the industry and were instituted in 1993 to recognize and celebrate the excellence of all the actors who participate in this activity.
