The Spanish airline Iberia presented Edwin Rincon as the new commercial representative of the company in Ecuador, country where it has flights to Quito and Guayaquil.
In order to continue strengthening the presence and operation of Iberia in the Latin American markets and to increase the airline's commitment to a destination as relevant as it is. Ecuador, Iberia has appointed Edwin Rincón as its new commercial delegate for that country.
This movement also seeks to reinforce and give continuity to the strategy that the company has been developing in Latin America to consolidate its leadership position in connectivity between this region and Europe, which is led by the commercial director for Latin America, Marina Colunga.
Edwin Rincón returns to Ecuador as Iberia delegate
Edwin Rincon comes to his new position to lead and represent Iberia and British Airways in the market of Ecuador. He has a degree in Business Administration, with specialization in airlines and travel agencies, by the Technological University of Colombia Unitec.
Rincón joins Iberia after more than twenty years in American Airlines, company in which in the last ten years he has been responsible for sales in Ecuador and Colombia. Previously, had developed commercial responsibilities in this same company in other strategic countries in Latin America, including the Caribbean and Brazil.
in addition, has extensive experience in other areas of the tourism industry such as revenue management, market analysis or sales planning.

Iberia has made during the 2023 an important commitment to the Latin American market, coming to have more than 300 weekly flights between this region and Europe, a 14% more than the capacity it had before the pandemic.
Iberia will increase its capacity between Quito and Madrid this winter season, offering a daily flight starting in November, which is added to the three weekly frequencies that have between Guayaquil and the capital of Spain.
