LATAM Ecuador increased flights and started a new route
One of the airlines that increased its flights was LATAM Ecuador, which started a new route in its network of destinations: Guayaquil – Bogota, but also increased frequencies on another route.
With a daily flight from Monday to Sunday and operated with Airbus A319 aircraft, The Ecuadorian airline added its second route to Colombia from Ecuador on 26 of March, operating between the José Joaquín de Olmedo airports in Guayaquil and El Dorado of Bogota, his second Colombian route.
But that was not all, the same 26 of March, the airline also increased its flights on the route between Quito and Bogota, going from 9 weekly frequencies to 14 flights between both capitals.
In this way, LATAM Ecuador contributed 12 new weekly frequencies between both destinations, betting on connectivity and increased competition.
Avianca started three new routes
More than 150 passengers, at 17:00 of the 26 March took off from Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport the flight AV8386 with which Avianca inaugurated the Quito-Medellín route, thus expanding the options of destinations to which passengers can enter Colombia directly. This route will operate 4 times a week on mondays, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday on planes Airbus A320.
What's more, on Tuesday 28 of March, Avianca also began its flights on the Guayaquil-Medellín and Guayaquil-Cartagena routes (Both suspended routes), that has an occupation greater than 90% and with which the airline reaches a total of 11 non-stop routes and an operation of 56 weekly flights from Ecuador toward Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena, according to the following chart:
