The Dominican airline Arajet, announced that it has obtained IOSA registration (THERE IT IS Operational Safety Audit) awarded by the International Air Transport Association (THERE IT IS).

With this achievement that represents the highest audit standard in terms of operational safety, being the most recognized in the airline industry worldwide, Arajet becomes the first airline from the Dominican Republic in the entire history of national aviation to enter the IOSA registry, a milestone that reaffirms its strong commitment to excellence, safety and quality in each operation.

“This recognition not only validates the safety culture that we practice daily, It also confirms that our processes are aligned with the highest international standards”, he claimed Victor Miguel Pacheco, CEO of Arajet, who added: “Being the first Dominican airline to obtain IOSA registration is a source of national pride and a vote of confidence for our passengers.”, collaborators and allies throughout the region.”

The IOSA registry is a standardized evaluation system that audits the management and operational control systems of airlines, including flight operations, dispatch and operational control, maintenance and airworthiness, cabin operations, ground services, among others.

Its objective is to improve operational safety by verifying compliance with standards and recommended best practices.. Being in the IOSA Registry means that the airline has passed and complied with a comprehensive and comparative review with the best practices in the sector.

The certificate presentation ceremony was headed by Igor Rodríguez, director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), who stated: 'As director of the IDAC, we celebrate this historic milestone: the incorporation of Arajet to the IOSA registry of THERE IT IS, an achievement that confirms compliance with the highest international operational safety standards and consolidates the leadership of the Dominican Republic as an air hub of the Americas.'

Serkan Simitcioglu, head of the IOSA Program THERE IT IS, stated that “IOSA promotes an operational discipline that is transversal to all areas of an airline. The audit process—which includes document review, interviews and live observation of operations—enables airlines to strengthen their safety culture and reach the next level of international standards.”
