LAP announced how much it will cost BRING IT to connect national and international flights through the Lima airport and its collection mechanisms.
Lima Airport Partners (LAP), operator of the Jorge Chavez International Airport, has issued a statement regarding the approval of the Unified Airport Use Rate (BRING IT) transfer, established by Ositrán.
What is the TUUA Transfer to connect in Lima?
This rate will apply to travelers who use the airport as a stopover point. (passengers on international connection and domestic or national connection), ratifying compliance with the provisions of the Concession Contract and its Addendum 6.
According to Ositrán, The rate corresponds to the full right of application for the services provided by the airport to this group of passengers.
How much will be paid?
The final rates approved by the Peruvian government are the following:
- Transfer TUUA for INT-INT passengers (International): USD 10,05 Per passenger (+ VAT).
- Transfer TUUA for DOM-DOM passengers (National): USD 6,32 Per passenger (+ VAT).
The collection of the Transfer TUUA for passengers who have an international connection in Lima will begin as of 7 from December, as coordinated with the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC).
Important: The collection of the BRING IT Transfer for passengers on national connection is suspended, since LAP is in negotiations with the MTC to achieve a contractual modification regarding its application.
How will the TUAA be paid??
Although the ideal collection scheme is to include the fare in the air ticket, This has not been possible due to the airlines' decision.. Thus, LAP has provided additional payment mechanisms for collection:
- Online payment platform: To make advance payment before the trip.
- Authorized airport agents with mobile POS: Distributed throughout the flow and route of the connecting passenger in Lima.
- Exclusive in-person payment modules for collecting the TUUA.
LAP highlights that it is essential that airlines inform in advance about the application of this rate to avoid inconvenience or confusion. Reporting in a timely manner will allow the passenger to know all the airport costs included in their trip..
From LAP, They reiterated the commitment to contribute to the development and modernization of the sector, seeking to convert Jorge Chavez on a platform of new development opportunities in the region.
