The airline Avianca began direct flights between Saint Joseph on Costa Rica and Quito on Ecuador with three weekly flights on airplanes Airbus A320.

A route that operated more than 10 years returns to Ecuador hand in hand with Avianca seeking to improve the country's connectivity by offering new options and alternatives, a highly attractive country in terms of tourism and connection options to the main sending and receiving market, USA.

Flights began between San José and Quito
