The new exclusive cargo division of LATAM Airlines Ecuador. which will have a base of operations in the Quito airport.

As part of LATAM Ecuador, the airline advances in the creation of its specialized and exclusive cargo division, which would initially operate with a Boeing 767-300F.

LATAM Ecuador and its cargo division

As a request before the National Council of Civil Aviation of Ecuador – CNAC, LATAM Airlines Ecuador S.A requested the granting of the operating permit to operate the air transport service, public, regular, international freight and mail, in combination to operate the following routes, frequencies and rights:

  • Quito and/or Guayaquil — Panama City — Los Angeles and/or Miami and/or Orlando and/or New York and/or Washington D.C.. and/or Chicago and/or Atlanta and/or Houston — Mexico City and/or Monterrey and/or Guadalajara and vice versa. Up to fifth freedoms and up to 7 weekly frequencies. Fifth freedom traffic between the United States and Mexico and between Panama and Mexico is excepted.
  • Quito and/or Guayaquil — Manaus and/or Sao Paolo (GuaruIhosNiracopos) and/or Rio de Janeiro and/or Bello Horizonte and/or Florianopolis and/or Recife and/or Fortaleza and/or Curitiba and/or Salvador de Bahía and/or Brasilia and/or Porto Alegre and/or Cabo Frio and/or victory and vice versa. Up to fourth freedoms, until 7 weekly frequencies.
  • Quito and/or Guayaquil — Los Angeles and/or Miami and/or Orlando and/or New York and/or Washington D.C. and/or Chicago and/or Atlanta and/or Houston — Bogotá and/or Medellín and/or Cali and/or Barranquilla and vice versa. Up to fifth freedoms, until 7 weekly frequencies.
  • Quito and/or Guayaquil — Los Angeles and/or Miami and/or Orlando and/or New York and/or Washington D.C. and/or Chicago and/or Atlanta and/or Houston — Manaus and/or Sao Paulo (Guarulhos Viracopos) and/or Rio de Janeiro and/or Bello Horizonte and/or Florianopolis and/or Recife and/or Fortaleza and/or Curitiba and/or Salvador de Bahia and/or Brasilia and/or Porto Alegre and/or Cabo Frio and/or Vitoria and/or Santiago and/or Antofagasta and/or Iquique and/or Punta Arenas and/or Montevideo and/or Asunción and/or Ciudad del Este and vice versa. Up to fifth freedoms and up to 7 weekly frequencies.
  • Quito and/or Guayaquil — Los Angeles and/or Miami and/or Orlando and/or New York and/or Washington D.C. and/or Chicago and/or Atlanta and/or Houston — Santo Domingo and/or Punta Cana and/or Panama City and vice versa. Up to fifth freedoms and up to 7 weekly frequencies.

In the approved request 10 march 2022, it is indicated that the airline, will use in its service flight equipment consisting of aircraft Boeing 767, under the modalities recognized in the Resolution No.. 012/2015, this is, dry lease, interchange o wet lease.

As for its main operations, it will be located in the Mariscal Sucre International Airport from the city of Quito that seeks to become a charging hub.

Fleet

Regarding the fleet, it was learned that the first aircraft for LATAM's cargo division in Ecuador would be the N534LA, MSN 32572 with 20 years since its first flight and powered by two General Electric CF6-80C3B7F engines.

    Very good news Nicholas. Finally a cargo airline with a national flag 🇪🇨 even if it is a subsidiary of LATAM. I think it's perfect to start with a B767F.

    It is true that there was a record of flower exports this Valentine 2022. The Russian market is temporarily affected and we do not know how long due to the seriousness of the conflict and the economic sanctions on that country. Anyway, I think that this conflict for flower exports with LATAM will not be a determining negative point Ecuador 🇪🇨.
