Embraer has reached a new milestone in the E-Jet program, the delivery of the number production aircraft 1700 for the airline KLM.
The E195-E2 leased by Aircastle was handed over to KLM Cityhopper in a ceremony at the Embraer facilities in São José dos Campos.
The E-Jets have enjoyed worldwide success in fleets of 150 airlines and leasing companies of more than 50 countries since the first aircraft entered commercial service in 2004. The E195-E2 is part of a family of E-Jets advanced generation offering the quietest aircraft, cleaner and more fuel efficient on the market for less than 150 seating.
The Embraer E-Jet 1700
The E195-E2 is the largest commercial airliner in Embraer with capacity for up to 146 passengers. The settings of KLM Cityhopper tiene 132 seats in three classes: Business Class, Economy Comfort y Economy Class. Today's delivery is the E-Jet number 60 for the airline operating a mixed fleet of 47 First generation E2 and 13 advanced, the largest of Europe. During the ceremony in Brazil, Warner Rootliep, Director General of KLM Cityhopper, highlighted the efficiency of the E2 in his speech:

A great moment to celebrate the many years of collaboration between KLM Cityhopper and Embraer. This E2 will take us further to become one of the leaders in transforming the aviation industry to make it more sustainable”.
Francisco Gomes Net, President and CEO of Embraer, attributed the longevity of the E-Jets program to continuous improvement:
“We are always looking for ways to improve our aircraft, reducing operating costs, extending maintenance intervals and adding new technology. And recently, the E2 has also shown that it can fly with PURE al 100%, which makes them even more sustainable”.
