BoA announced on 27 September 2023 the opening of three new international routes: Caracas (Venezuela), Havana (Cuba) and Asuncion (Paraguay). These new routes are part of the company's expansion plan, that seeks to increase its connectivity with the world and provide more travel options to Bolivians and tourists.
The new BoA routes
Little by little, the airline's growth plans that have been around for a long time continue to be known., even Ecuador came to sound in its plans, but for now the airline has decided to expand its horizons to 3 private destinations.
The state airline Boliviana de Aviación (BoA) announced that it will start flights to Caracas, Havana and Asunción. With these new connections, BoA reaches a total of eight international destinations, including Lima, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid and São Paulo.
Flights to Havana
The inaugural flight OB1756 to Havana took place on 26 October 2023 and will have a weekly frequency initially on Thursdays and returning on Fridays. The service will be operated with a Boeing aircraft 737-800, with capacity for 168 passengers.
- The flight will depart from Santa Cruz de la Sierra at 18:30 at night and will arrive in Havana at 23:59 hours
- The return flight will depart from Havana at 1:00 in the morning and will arrive in Santa Cruz de la Sierra at 6:30 am local time.
With duration of 6 hours and 30 minutes, These flights have a value from $837 dollars round trip.
Flights to Caracas
The inaugural flight OB1718 to Caracas took place last 31 October 2023 and will have a weekly frequency on Tuesdays, coming back on wednesdays. The service is operated with airplanes Boeing 737-800, with capacity for 168 passengers.
- The flight will depart from Santa Cruz de la Sierra at 20:10 hours and lands in the capital of Venezuela at 00:30 the next day.
- The return flight will depart from Caracas at 2:00 in the morning and lands back in Bolivia at 6:00 am local time.
This route has a value from $472 dollars round trip, with a four-hour flight duration.
Flights to Asuncion
The inaugural flight to Asunción does not yet have an exact start date and is not yet on sale.. Despite this, It was learned that the route will be operated on Boeing aircraft 737-800, with capacity for 162 passengers. The flight will depart from Santa Cruz de la Sierra at 10:00 in the morning and will arrive in Asunción at 11:30 in the morning, local time. The return flight will depart from Asunción at 12:30 in the afternoon and will arrive in Santa Cruz de la Sierra at 2:00 pm, local time.
Ticket prices for this route have not been announced and would go on sale in the coming weeks..

It was also known that the airline's plans will continue with future flights to Santiago de Chile and Bogota.
With the opening of these new routes, BoA is consolidating itself as a growing alternative in the region with its fleet of 22 model aircraft Boeing 737, Boeing 767 and the recent Airbus A330.
