For next June, Avianca announced the start of new routes with flights from Medellin toward Aruba, Buenos Aires, Lima and Santiago de Chile.
Avianca has announced the opening, from june, of four new routes from Medellín to Aruba, Buenos Aires, Lima and Santiago de Chile, what continues to drive Colombia as a regional connectivity point with the Americas. What's more, ahead of the mid-year high season, The airline will also reactivate the direct Medellín route-Orlando and the number of frequencies will increase towards New York and Miami.
New routes from Medellín
“Avianca is committed to increasing access and promoting Colombia's connectivity with the Americas. Therefore, The routes that we are opening to and from Medellín allow us to strengthen this work and bring the capital of Antioquia closer to Latin America., the Caribbean and the United States. Thanks to the coordination with the authorities and our allies, during this season we will have 26 domestic and international routes that will allow Antioquia to connect with more destinations, while more tourists can come to the region”, said David Aleman, Avianca Sales Director for Colombia and Latin America.
With the launch of new operations, the 26 routes that will connect to the capital of Antioquia directly will be:
- National destinations: Saint Andrew, Armenia, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Bogota, Cali, Cartagena, Cucuta, Hunting, Pereira, Riohacha and St. Martha.
- International destinations: Cancún, New York, Madrid, Mexico City, Miami, Punta Cana, Saint Joseph, San Juan and Quito. Since June: Lima*, Santiago*, Aruba*, Buenos Aires and Orlando*.
