The airline Avianca Ecuador received its ninth aircraft that joins the airline's fleet for its next new international routes.
Currently the fleet of Avianca -the largest of Ecuador– It's conformed by 9 planes: 6 planes Airbus A320, 1 Airbus A319, and the 2 new Airbus A320Nneo that total close to 1.600 chairs flying daily to and from destinations operated by the airline to and from Ecuador.

What's more, The A320neo incorporates the most recent technologies in air navigation such as: new generation LEAP engines, sharklets and lighter seats, Together they offer a 20% saving combustible and reduced CO2 emissions compared to previous generation Airbus aircraft.
Currently Avianca connects to the 6 main destinations with more than 200 weekly flights between Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca, Manta, Galapagos and San Cristóbal and fly to 11 direct routes to connect Quito and/or Guayaquil with destinations such as Buenos Aires, Lima, Saint Joseph, Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, San Salvador and New York.
Avianca has a market share of 32% on international routes, being the leading airline and 38% in domestic operation, as well as a punctuality indicator higher than 90%.

I also saw that they have scheduled several national flights with the neo, including Cuenca, Guayaquil, and Galapagos. In its reservation system it appears that the aircraft will begin operating domestic flights with the neo throughout July and August
Thanks Carlos for the info.. as I understand, the neo will start flights on 1 June with the UIO-JFK route, I didn't have the information on the domestic ones and it's good to know..
