LATAM continues to renew its fleet
With the commitment to be more efficient and sustainable, the group LATAM advances in the renewal of its fleet announcing that at the end of 2023 will have in operation 31 family planes A320neo.

The first A321XLR will be delivered in 2025.
This will allow the group LATAM replace their planes with more modern and efficient ones, increase its fleet and continue with the recovery of its operation compared to pre-pandemic levels.

Airbus A320neo aircraft have more efficient engines, aerodynamic improvements and technologies that provide better fuel consumption 20% smaller, with a reduction of 50% in nitrogen oxide emissions, says Sebastian Acuto, Fleet and Projects Director, LATAM Airlines Group.
About the Airbus A321neo, it consumes a 22% less than combustible per seat than previous model, the A320ceo. For his part, the Airbus A321XLR is the single aisle aircraft (narrow body) with the longest flight range in the world (7.400 km) and with fuel consumption per flight up to 38% less than a plane with two aisles (wide body).
Most of the A320 family aircraft fleet of LATAM is equipped with software which reduces annual CO2 emissions by more than 60.000 tons by optimizing the landing trajectory of the aircraft.
Currently, the LATAM group has 311 planes, 57 passenger Boeing (models 767, 777 and 787) and 238 Airbus aircraft (A319 models, A320, A320neo and A321). What's more, LATAM Cargo Chile, LATAM Cargo Colombia and LATAM Cargo Brazil have a joint fleet of 16 cargo planes, and which will gradually expand until it reaches 20 cargo planes a 2024.
